Miranda, of Center Valley, spent more than 45 years as a nurse before he retired March 17, 2020. He planned to spend his retirement helping his son and daughter-in-law with his grandchildren, but those plans didn’t last long. Because of COVID-19 restrictions his daughter-in-law ended up working from home and Miranda was not needed as much to watch his grandkids. Instead, with the COVID-19 pandemic worsening, Miranda saw a need for skilled and experienced nurses like himself.
