The Heat’s first jersey retirement was No. 23 on April 11, 2003, a decision by Heat President Pat Riley to honor Jordan’s contributions to the sport, despite Joran never playing for the franchise. Mourning’s No. 33 then was retired on Mar. 30, 2009; Hardaway’s No. 10 on Oct. 28, 2009; O’Neal’s No. 32 on Dec. 22, 2016; Bosh’s No. 1 on March 26, 2019; and, most recently, Wade’s No. 3 on Feb. 22, 2020.
